New York Times bashes Trump's plan for Israel-Palestine
WASHINGTON, 01 Feb 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: The New York Times editorial board has come out strongly against U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to end the Israel-Palestine conflict, calling it the most difficult plan presented thus far "to take seriously." Trump formally rolled out his plan on Tuesday as he faces a bitter impeachment battle, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who is also facing charges in three separate graft cases ahead of nationwide elections March 2. Yemen’s warring parties agree to key prisoner exchange
WASHINGTON, 17 Feb 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Yemen's warring parties have agreed on a detailed plan to conduct a "large-scale" prisoner exchange, the UN said Sunday. "This is a step towards the fulfillment of the parties’ commitment to the phased release of all conflict-related detainees according to the Stockholm Agreement," it said in a statement. The key announcement came after seven days of meetings between the Yemeni government and Houthi rebels concluded Sunday in Jordan’s capital Amman at which it was decided to immediately begin exchanging lists for the upcoming release. Daesh prisoners riot at YPG/PKK-run prison in Syria
AL-HASAKAH, 31 Mar 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Daesh/ISIS prisoners have staged a rebellion at prison run by the YPG/PKK terror group in northeastern Syria in protest of their conditions, according to local sources on Monday. The sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the rebellion took place on Sunday at the YPG/PKK-run prison in Geweran district in Al-Hasakah province.
