Ousted VHP leader Praveen Togadia launches new hardline Hindutva party AHP
New Delhi, 25 Jun 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Praveen Togadia who was ousted from Vishwa Hindu Parishad has launched his own political outfit, AntarRashtriya Hindu Parishad (AHP). According to him, the new party is a “Hindu alternative” to the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the next elections. Togadia who was once a confidant of Prime Minister Narendra Modi lashed out at latter during his address at the party’s inaugural function in New Delhi. National Herald has quoted him saying, “The Modi government has failed the Hindu community, which stood solidly behind it during 2014 elections. They have failed to build the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Rajasthan to change names of 4 more villages
Jaipur, 11 Aug 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: The Rajasthan government will change the names of four more villages after three Hindu-dominated villages were earlier renamed, officials said on Friday. Informed sources said the state government has proposed to change the names of 27 villages in the state, however the Centre has permitted the change of only seven names as of now. The three villages whose names have been changed are: Miyon Ka Bada in Barmer has become Mahesh Nagar, Islampur in Jhunjhunu will now be called Pichanva Khurd and Salemabad in Ajmer has been renamed as Shri Nimbark Teerth. There were complaints from these villages that people hesitate to marry their children due to the Muslim names, informed sources said. UPSC CSE 2017 Results: Three more Muslim candidates find place in the list
New Delhi, 02 Sep 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recommended another 66 candidates based on the results of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2017. Out of the 66 successful candidates, three belongs to the Muslim community and one is a Christian. These four candidates had taken coaching at Zakat Foundation of India. The names of the candidates are Syed Fraz Haider Nabi, Saqib Yousuf, Mohammed Ali, Renjina Mary Varghese. It may be mentioned that the result of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2017 was released on 27th April 2018 recommending 990 candidates for appointment to various services. Now, UPSC recommended more 66 candidates. Out of these candidates, 48 belongs to General Category whereas, 16, 01, 01 belongs to OBC, SC and ST categories respectively.
