Muhammad Kabir’s act of self defense stops lynching incidents

New Dehli, 01 Oct 2019 [Fik/News Sources]:  Teenager Muhammad Kabir who killed his attacker Suraj Bahadur in self-defence on July 23 has emerged as a hero in Asansol area of Bardhaman district in West Bengal. The incident took place when Kabir was returning to his home in Gulzar Mohalla (BPL colony). Who is Kabir? Kabir who works in a plastic factory as a laborer was stopped by a group of four youths from the majority community and forced to chant ‘Jai Sriram’. A scuffle broke between them but Kabir somehow managed to run away. Meanwhile, one of the attackers Suraj Bahadur menacingly chased Kabir and managed to caught him. “Fearing for his life Kabir picked a brick and threw on the head of Suraj Bahadur which resulted into the death of  Suraj’ said Armaan, the elder brother of Md.

Babri Masjid: Sunni Waqf board puts conditions to withdraw claim

New Delhi, 17 Oct 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: In a surprise development, Sunni Waqf Board- the primary Muslim litigant in the title dispute case has offered to drop its claim on Babri Masjid land with few conditions, a source told  Muslim Mirror. Conditions Outlining its three conditions, the Waqf Board wants the UP government to rebuild 22 mosques lying in a dilapidated condition, strict implementation of the Places of Religious Worship Act 1991, and allowing Muslims to pray in all mosques under the central government’s Archaeological Survey of India. Police threatening Muslims not to speak against Avodhya verdict, alleges Zafaryab Jilani
