JEE forms can be submitted till Jan 17
Bengaluru, 17 Dec 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: The online submission of application forms for JEE -2021 opened for a month on Wednesday. The entire application process for JEE (Main) 2021 is online, including uploading of scanned images and payment of fees, and candidates are not required to send documents to the National Testing Agency (NTA), a bulletin said. The last date for students to submit the application fee is January 17, 2021. JEE (Main) 2021 will be conducted in multiple sessions for the next academic session, so that it does not interfere with Board examinations, which may be held at different times. Paper 2A & Paper 2B (B.Arch & B.Planning) will be held twice a year, in February & May 2021. Karnataka farmers to sell rice to Reliance Retail, unions warn of predatory pricing
Bengaluru, 11 Jan 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: More than a thousand paddy farmers in Karnataka’s Raichur have agreed to sell their produce directly to Reliance Retail at a rate marginally higher than the minimum support price (MSP) through an intermediary company. This comes within months of Karnataka amending the state Agricultural Marketing Committee (KAPMC) Act, which allows farmers to directly sell their produce even outside APMC yards. "On behalf of 1,100 farmers, who are our company's shareholders, an agreement has been signed on January 6 to sell about 1,000 tonne of their paddy (Sona Masoori rice variety) to Reliance Retail at Rs 1,950 per quintal (100 kg), which is Rs 100 above the MSP of Rs 1,850 per quintal," Swasthya Farmers Producing Company (SFPC) Managing Director V Mallikarjun told IANS. Parliamentary SCOD to visit Karwar naval base on Jan 20
Karwar, 19 Jan 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence will visit the INS Kadamba naval base near here on January 20 and 21. A total of 31 committee members, including chairman of the committee Jual Oram, committee members Rahul Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, Sanjay Raut, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Ashok Bajpayee, Premachand Gupta, TR Parvinder will be supervising the naval base development works and other facilities. The committee has 21 members from the Lok Sabha and 11 members from the Rajya Sabha.
