Karnataka pvt schools suspend online classes on Tuesday in solidarity with Bharat bandh
Bengaluru, 08 Dec 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Online classes in private schools in Karnataka will be suspended on Tuesday in support of the ongoing farmers protest in the country’s capital. Over 3000 schools have agreed to take part in the one-day suspension of classes, according to Shashi Kumar, general secretary of the Karnataka Unaided School Management Association. However, tests and online exams scheduled for Tuesday will continue as scheduled. "We have decided to suspend classes for a day. Anyone who is conducting exams or tests need not cancel them. We will compensate for today’s suspension by taking classes on another working day," Shashi Kumar told TNM on Monday. "The plight of farmers will be our plight for one day,” he said. Nali-Kali goes on air from tomorrow
Bengaluru, 10 Jan 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: The Department of Education is launching ‘Kaliyutta Naliyona’, a new radio programme based on the Nali-Kali initiative, from January 11, Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar announced on Saturday. He told mediapersons that the ‘Nali-Kali’ programme for students of Classes 1 to 4, will be aired on the government’s radio station Akashavani. For Classes 1 and 2, the programme will be from 10 am to 10.15 am, and for Classes 3 and 4 from 10:15 to 10:30 am. This will include music, story telling, drama, dialogue, and quizzes to help students continue learning. BENGALURU, 04 Mar 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: After releasing ‘sensational sleaze CD’ containing the intimate relationship of former minister Ramesh Jarakiholi with a woman, RTI activist Dinesh Kallahalli claimed that he has CDs of three more persons including a minister and he plans to release it soon. Addressing presspersons, Kallahalli said that his fight against corruption would continue. “I am not scared of my future. Although I am getting threat calls, I will not succumb to anyone.
