K’taka CEO releases data showing actual voting-EVM count match

Bengaluru, 02 June 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Amid allegations of mismatch, the Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer Saturday released data, which shows a total match between the actual voting and the electronic voting machine count during the Lok Sabha election. Polling for the Lok Sabha in the state had taken place on April 18 and April 23. The Karnataka State Congress president Dinesh Gundu Rao had Friday alleged that there was a ‘glaring mismatch’ between the actual voting and the EVM count. BBMP Mayor voluntarily pays fine for using banned plastic sheet

Bengaluru, 04 August 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: BBMP Mayor Gangambike Mallikarjun voluntarily paid fine of RS 500 after she was caught using banned plastic sheet. A few days ago, Ms Gangambike went to greet newly inducted Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and presented him a garland and a shawl along with a dry-fruit basket which was covered with a plastic sheet. Huge catch of ‘Kargil fish’ troubles fisher folk on coast

Mangaluru, 05 Oct 2019 [Fik/News Sources]:  Fishing boats are returning with bountiful catch to district ports in DK and Udupi after days at sea, but their catch causes sad faces.   For  95% of the catch are ‘Kargil fish’ (Redtoothed Triggerfish)., it is unfit for human consumption and sale returns are poor.  The boats that had left fishing ports for deep-sea fishing have returned with a huge quantity of Kargil fish, which are not for human consumption and have no commercial value.   “Fish meal industries purchase Kargil fish for Rs 12 per kg.
