Indigenous system to improve safety of rail passengers
Bengaluru, 02 Feb 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: An indigenously developed automatic train protection system to boost passenger safety is a key aspect of the Union budget, but officials were unable to speak on any projects. A senior railway official told TNIE, “Until the Pink Book (details of projects and amount sanctioned) is released, we are not in a position to say anything. Let us wait to see what has been sanctioned for projects.” Electrification of Indian Railways by 2023 is a key announcement. Chief PRO and Deputy General Manager E Vijaya told TNIE, “The National Rail Plan is set to become the template of planning for future development. Jukaku Abdurraheem, Former President of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Bhatkal Passes Away At 82
Bhatkal, 01 Mar 2021 [varthabharati]: Jukaku Abdurraheem (82), a renowned figure in the social, religious and educational circles of Bhatkal and the former President of the prestigious organization Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen passed away in Los Angeles, California, around 8 am IST on Monday. He is the son of ex-Minister Jukaku H. Shamshuddin. It is learned that for the past few days, Jukaku Abdurraheem had been experiencing ill health due to his old age. He is survived by two sons and three daughters and a legion of friends and loved ones. He was a Mechanical Engineer by profession.
