BJP MP Anantkumar Hegde ‘sarcastically’ lauds CEAT ad showcasing nuisance of bursting crackers on roads

Karwar, 21 Oct 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Uttara Kannada MP and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Anantkumar Hegde sarcastically lauded the good message that CEAT Tyres has delivered through its recent advertisement featuring Bollywood actor Aamir Khan.

The TV commercial, shows people bursting crackers to celebrate a cricket match victory and the actor advises that roads are meant to drive vehicles and not to burst crackers.

Highlighting the company’s concern for public issues, Hegde in a letter addressed to CEAT Tyres MD and CEO, Anant Vardhan Goenka requested the company to address one more problem faced by people on roads, i.e., blocking roads in the name of namaz on Friday and other important festive days by Muslims.”

Pointing out at the Azan conveyed through loudspeakers, Hegde wrote that CEAT should also create public awareness on the issue of noise pollution through their ads

Furthermore, taking a dig at Aamir Khan, Hegde writes that a group of Anti-Hindu actors always hurt the Hindu sentiments whereas they never try to expose the wrongdoings of their community.
