Three from Davangere arrested for Puttur jewellery showroom theft case

Puttur, 14 Sep 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Puttur Police have arrested three persons on the charges of  stealing jewellery worth lakhs in the guise of customers at the Jos Alukkas showroom of Puttur. The theft had taken place on September 1.

Those arrested are Bibijaan, Hussain B and Jaitumbi of Davanagere. The three had come to the showroom and had managed to steal an earring worth Rs 2,60,400. They had also given wrong  address and mobile number.

The jewellery showroom manager had lodged a police complaint. The accused were arrested from the Beeramale hills in Puttur. They were produced before the court and  remanded to judicial custody.
