’Pro-Pak’ slogan issue: SDPI holds SP Office Chalo protest against arrest of party workers

Mangaluru, 16 Jan 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: The  SDPI organised a "SP Office Chalo" rally  in the city on January 15, Friday to protest against the arrest of three SDPI activists by the Belthangady Police  on  the charges of raising pro-Pak slogans at Ujire recently.

The  rally commenced from Clock Tower in which over one thousand SDPI activists participated. However, as the police had set up barricades and ensured that the protestors did not reach the SP office, the protestors sat on the road and shouted slogans demanding the release of those  arrested. They also demanded that the Belthangady SI Nandakumar be  dismissed for  the arrest of ’innocents’ in this case.

SDPI leader Shafi Bellare and others addressed the protestors and strongly condemned the arrest of party workers in the case.
