Bhatkal: Better facilities are being provided at the Covid Center, press conference at Tanzeem, with INF and Rabita Society

Bhatkal, 24 Sep 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: A press conference was held at the office of the Tanzeem at 1.30 pm on Wednesday 23 Sep, appealing to provide information about and benefit from the Primary Covid Center set up jointly by Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem, INF and Rabita Society. 

Officials provided details about the facilities provided at the center and advised patients to seek treatment at the outset. 

At a press conference, officials said that when the cases of corona began to increase in the city and patients here did not receive better medical care, the consequences were serious. The condition of many patients has deteriorated to an alarming extent and many have lost their lives and sadly this process is still going on. 

In view of these circumstances, a Primary Covid Center was set up and facilities were provided here after consultation with the specialist doctors of Indiana Hospital, Mangalore, but in spite of all these, the center is not being taken advantage of. This was stated by the officials in a press release. He believes that these facilities are being provided in the city so that the disease can be treated at the beginning and they do not have to go out of the city. 

The details of the difficulties they are facing in getting treatment outside the city were also given and it was informed that the patients who are being charged Rs 6,000 for a day's treatment, for the same treatment here only Rs 2,500 Including doctors, nurses, room and other expenses. 

In addition, medicines are being provided to patients at low cost and free ambulance services are being provided to patients on their way to tests. He said that the doctors of the famous Indiana Hospital in Mangalore were being hired and treated under their supervision. 

All these facilities are being provided for the purpose of better treatment of the patients here and at low cost the patients return healthy but the benefits are not being availed as it should be.
