Security forces and militants clash in Budgam, J&K

New Delhi, 08 Sep 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in the Kawoosa area of Narbal in Central Kashmir’s District Budgam on Monday evening.
 
After receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area, security forces started a cordon and search operation in the area which resulted in an exchange of fire between security forces and militants who were hiding in the vicinity, reported a local news agency.

While confirming the encounter, the Kashmir zone police tweeted, “Encounter has started at the Kawoosa area of Budgam. Police and security forces are on the job”.

However there was no fresh firing in the area, but the whole area is being cordoned off, and search operation is underway.
