Bengaluru, 26 July 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: The State government’s Minority Welfare, Haj and Wakf Department has issued an order stipulating the rules under which the festival of Eid al-Adha must be celebrated.
The order states that no mass prayers will be permitted and only 50 people will be allowed to offer prayers inside a mosque at a time. In case there are more than 50 people then they can be organised in three batches.
People under 10 years of age and above 60 years of age will not e permitted to enter mosques.
All those entering mosques should wear facemasks and must maintain 6 feet distance while offering prayers. Hand shakes and embraces will be prohibited.
Eid al-Adha will be celebrated across Karnataka except Udupi, Kodagu, Dakshina and Uttara Kannada districts on August 1 and in the Four districts on July 31.
