Bhatkal, 11 July 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Coastal Karnataka will witness widespread rainfall with higher intensity for the next two to three days, as Met Department has warned that a depression in the Arabian Sea could cause thunderstorms in the state coast till July 14.
The sea is choppy, with the waves rising to a height to 3 to 3.3 metres starting around 11 am on Thursday indicating danger for the next few days. The waves in the sea are also at a speed of 43 to 57 cm a second.
The Department officials have warned the fishermen against going out into the sea during such conditions. People living by the sea as well as rivers should take additional care, they said.
