Bhatkal Continues to record more Covid Cases

Bhatkal, 08 July 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: As many as 20 fresh cases of Covid-19 including 13 from Bhatkal were reported in Uttara Kannada on Wednesday.

Among the Bhatkal patients today, a 26-year-old wife of a police constable who was on duty as a Corona Warrior in town, is also worried about getting infected with a baby boy. And among yesterday's patients, three had returned from Dubai and two from Maharashtra. 10 people had come in primary contact with P-17121 and two in contact with P-17017. Two patients have sysmtoms of fever(ILI).

As on Wednesday, 24-year-old staff of a private hospital, 43 and 56-year-old women, 24,25, 13, 9, 13-year-old young girls, 5 and 6-year-old girls have been confirmed. The 62-year-old, a resident of the heart of the town, died at a private hospital here today.

In Bhatkal, 208 people have been infected so far and 58 have been cured. Continued treatment for 149 active infections. A case of death was added to Mangalore.

Restriction in Bhatkal

As Covid cases in Bhatkal taluk are increasing, some safety measures have been intiated. All trading activites in the taluk will be held only till 2:00pm. Movement of people (except medical emergencies) has been restricted till 6:00am,

People from other taluks, districts, states and countries have been restricted from staying in Bhatkal limits for a longer period. This will be applicable from July 10 upto further orders.
