Bhatkal: Chartered flight brings 181 stranded Indians back from UAE

Bhatkal, 08 July 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: A chartered flight arranged by Mr. Atiq-ur-Rehman Muniri in UAE arrived at the Mangaluru International Airport at night on July 7, Tuesday carrying 181 stranded Kannadigas of Bhatkal and surrounding areas from United Arab Emirates. where they were stranded since the coronavirus-induced lockdown.

On arrival at Mangalore International airport they were welcomed by Bhatkal Muslim Jamaat Mangalore. All the passengers were brought to Bhatkal by buses and quarantined at Ali Public School and Hotel Kola Paradise.

Arrangements have been made for quarantine at Kola Paradise for women and their accompanying Mahram men, while arrangements have been made for about 120 passengers at Ali Public School, Bhatkal. Arrangements have been made in 15 rooms with beds and other necessities.

Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Nadvi of Ali Public School Bhatkal, told Fikrokhabar that efforts have been made in collaboration with the officials of the Reform and Organization Council to ensure that the people living here do not face any problems.

Maulana Abdul Raqib MJ Nadvi, general secretary of the Bhatkal Reform and Organization Council, told Fikrkhabar that when we spoke to the school officials and raised the issue of quarantine of those coming on a chartered flight from Dubai, they were happy. Accepted it and cooperated with us.
