Lockdown in Bhatkal from 2 PM to 6 AM

Bhatkal, 06 July 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: With 45 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in the Bhatkal, as on July 06, Bhatkal has the highest numbers recorded cases in Uttara Kannada district. 

As the number of infected people with the novel coronavirus in the taluk is growing, the DC of Uttara Kannada Distirct Dr. K. Harish Kumar has ordered more restrictions to be taken to prevent the spread of disease in Bhatkal municipality.

He has ordered the public to "Stay Home, Stay Safe" not to leave houses except for medical reasons from 2 pm to 6 am. 

As many as 45 new coronavirus cases were reported in Bhatkal taking the total cases in the district to 435, which as to be confirmed by Health Bulletin this evening.

In 81 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, 45 cases are from Bhatkal, 20 from Kumta, 9 from Honnavar, 5 from Karwar, one each from Yellapura and Sirsi.

Since the treatment has already begun in a few taluk hospitals, it is clear that the number of infected people will be treated within taluk hospitals.
