Mangaluru, 29 Feb 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Under an animal exchange programme, the Pilikula Biological Park at Moodushedde has received two Indian Gaur calves, four Black Swans and two Striped Hyenas from the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens at Mysuru.
In return, the Park authorities have dispatched two Lesser Whistling Ducks, two Royal Bengal Tigers and four King Cobras to Mysuru.
With the two new arrivals, the Indian Gaur numbers in the Park has increased to four informed Park Director, H J Jayaprakash Bhandary.
The Black Bucks are available for public view while the Striped Hyenas are housed in an enclosure and will be made available for public viewing after they have adjusted to the new environment.
White and Grey Rhea birds, two Swamp Deers, Oriental Darter and White Tiger will also be sent to the Park in the future from various zoos across the country.
