State receives more than Rs 70,000 crore proposals at Invest Karnataka

Hubballi, 16 Feb 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: The state government received investment proposal worth Rs 72,000 crores at the Invest Karnataka meet held in the city.

Gaurav Gupta, Secretary, Industries Department informed that the government has signed agreements with many companies to set up units in northern Karnataka.

Rajesh Exports, a Bengaluru-based company, signed an agreement for electric vehicles and lithium-ion batteries manufacturing unit at Dharwad.

Sonali Power signed up with Udyog Mitra, the state nodal agency for investments, to set up a solar plant at Davangere.

Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Yediyurappa said that many Indian and foreign companies have come forward to invest more than Rs 1 lakh crore since the BJP government came to power. Adding that more than 40 companies had expressed interest to invest in Karnataka during a roadshow in the World Economic Forum at Davos.

The Chief Minister claimed that they are committed to make northern Karnataka an industrial powerhouse.
