New Delhi, 13 Nov 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: A day after Muslim leaders met National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval in Delhi , several Shia and Sunni leaders met with Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow .
Prominent Islamic scholar Syed Salman Hussaini Nadwi, along with nearly 15 others Muslim clerics had discussion with Yogi for nearly an hour and thanked them for their cooperation in securing peace before and after the Ayodhya verdict.
“Muslims are about 17 per cent of the state’s population but statistics show that they have been given above 30 per cent benefits in all major government schemes,” Yogi reportedly said to them.
‘We should build a grand mosque , a university and an Islamic center at 5 acre proposed land. We should think and act positively as negative thinking will take us nowhere’ said Maulana Salman Husaini Nadvi after in a video message after meeting with CM Yogi.
Interestingly Maulana Salman was accompanied by his two sons Yusuf Husaini, Yunus Husaini and one son in law Hasan Mazahri.
It should be noted that in February 2018 Maulana Husaini proposed out of court settlement to solve the Ram janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute and even suggested to shift the site of Babri Masjid to another palace.
