Govt. propose to impose heavy taxes on those citizens who possess an excess quantity of gold.
According to authentic sources, PMO and Ministry of Finance are engaged in giving a final shape to a scheme that will provide guidelines for possessing gold in households.
Govt. proposes to set up a gold board that will implement this scheme.
It is likely that married women may get some exemption under this scheme. Those who possess gold without proper receipts will have to pay heavy fines.
