Customs officials at MIA arrest 3 for smuggling gold

Mangaluru, 06 Oct 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Three passengers who were found smuggling gold into the country were taken into custody by the customs officials at the Mangaluru International Airport. Officials have seized gold worth around Rs 24.96 lakhs from the three.

In the  first case reported on September 30, three gold chains  weighing 143.48 grams and a bracelet weighing 32.30 grams were seized from two lady passengers while  in another case reported on October 23,  493.76 grams gold which was in the form of paste was seized from a  passenger.
