Bengaluru, 10 Feb 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: The city witnessed a heavy downpour on Saturday evening, which provided a much needed relief from the humid weather that was prevailing for the past few days.
However the traffic was thrown out of gear as the roads got flooded in many parts of the city.
The problem was acute in places where the ongoing infrastructure works such as flyover or metro were in progress. At many places motorists got stuck for hours.
The worst affected areas were Koramangala, BTM Layout, Domlur, Indiranagar, Race Course Road and Bannerghatta Road, where traffic moved at a snail’s pace.
"There were bottlenecks near Silk Board and Mahadevapura. Mysuru Road too experience slow moving traffic," a Bengaluru Traffic Police official said.
