Tumkur's army man M. Sadik honored with Republic Day gallantry award

Tumkur, 27 Jan 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: M. Sadik of Tumkur, who is serving in the Indian Army at Jammu-Kashmir's Ananthnag district, has been honored with the gallantry award on the Republic Day.  

Sadik was selected for the award as he had encountered three terrorists in October last year.

A resident of Pour House Colony in Tumkur M. Sadik joined Indian Army in 2004. Presently, he is serving in the Kashmir's Kulgam National Rifle 1 Battalion.   

Sadik is a native of Taruvekere Taluk in Ammasandra. Father D.Mohammed Saleem, and mother Sirajunnisa. The family sifted to Tumkur 10 years ago.
