Jan 27: ‘Karnataka Muslim Jamaat’ to be declared open in Bengaluru

Mangaluru, 01 Jan 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: As a strong forum for Muslims of the state, ‘Karnataka Muslim Jamaat’ would come into existence and it would be officially declared open at a mega rally of the Muslims to be held at the Palace Grounds in Bengaluru on January 27.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Karnataka Jamiyyat-ul-Ulama president Khazi PM Ibrahim Musliyar Bakel said that the main agenda of the Jamaat was to ensure the welfare of the Muslim community with the help of skilled personalities in various sectors and noted personalities of the community.

Already, district level conventions were conducted in various districts and it has received good response. It was expected that thousands of representatives would participate in the convention.

Now, All India Muslim Jamaat was formed under the leadership of religious and social leaders to ensure harmony between castes and religions, integrity and progress of the country besides introspecting the condition of the Muslims in the country. It was an apolitical organization and the ‘Karnataka Muslim Jamaat’ would work under it, he said.

Major leaders of religious, social and educational sectors in the country would take part in the convention. In the presence of those leaders, All India Sunni Jamiyyat-ul-Ulama general secretary Sulthanul Ulama Kanthapuram AP Aboobakar Musliyar would declare open the ‘Karnataka Muslim Jamaat’ organization.

Later, district, taluk and zonal level ‘Jamaats’ would be formed. Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, scholars Syed Koorath Thangal and others would be present, he said.

Karnataka Jamiyyat-ul-Ulama general secretary M Abdul Hameed Musliyar Mani, Sunni Coordination Committee state vice president S.P. Hamza Saqafi Bantwala, SYS state general secretary Dr MSM Abdur Rasheed Zaini Kamil, SSF All India leader Shafi Saadi Bengaluru, SSF national general secretary K.M. Abubakar Siddiq Montugoli, Sunni Jamiyyat-ul-Muallimin president Athoor Saad Musliyar, SEDC and SMA Karnataka general secretary Abdur Rehman Madani Jeppu and others were present.
