Bengaluru: Detention of human traffickers; 35 Nepali girls rescued

Bengaluru, 13 Dec 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: CCB police arrested four Nepal-based accused on charges of detaining the girls promising by getting them jobs in abroad and trying to trade them illegally.  

The arrested have been identified as Kishan Gale (29), Lakshman Gale (29), Rakesh Sharma (38) and Thag Bahadur Thapa (32). It is said that they have formed a syndicate to earn money illegally.

CCB DCP S Girish said that the accused have promised 35 innocent girls that they would get them work in abroad and brought them and kept them illegally in Sudha Lodge at Cotton Pete. They have planned to trade them illegally to foreign countries through agents, he said.

With the help of laptops and printers, they have created fake documents in the name of girls. Two laptops, one printer, 6 mobile phones, 6 fake seals, two passports and other materials were recovered from them. Two other accused Venkateshwar Rao and B Navaraj were at large and the police have been searching for them.

They have links with the foreign agents of human trafficking. Based on the demands of the agents, the accused have been supplying the girls. It was found in the interrogation that they have been using the girls for illegal activities. All the 35 girls rescued here are from Nepal, he said.
