Crash of paddy price: State govt. comes to farmers rescue

Bengaluru, 14 Nov 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: In order to protect the interests of the farmers who have been suffering due to fall of paddy prices in the market, the state government has directed the officials to purchase paddy at Rs 1600 per quintal.

Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, who held a high level officers meeting at his Home Office Krishna here on Tuesday, directed the officials to purchase the paddy at Rs 1600 per quintal.

Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister Nadagouda Venkatarao drew the attention of the chief minister about the plight of the farmers. Responding to his request, the CM directed the authorities to take steps to purchase the paddy.
