Accident during JDS convention: Party worker drowned in canal

Mandya, 28 Oct 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: A JDS worker accidentally fell into a canal and died during a party convention at Pandavapura in the district on Saturday.

The victim has been identified as Jakkanahalli Kumar (45) who runs a Paani Poori shop. As soon as he fell in the canal, other workers lifted him from the water and rushed him to a hospital.  But he breathed his last in the hospital.

The JDS has organized the party convention just beside the VC Canal in front of the Pandava stadium in the town. Pandavapura police registered a case.
