Illegally stocked sand worth Rs 4.5 lakhs seized near Tannirbavi
Mangaluru, 24 Sep 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Panambur Police who raided two separate places at Nayarkudru near Tannirbavi on September 22, Saturday have seized sand worth Rs 4.5 lakhs and a JCB worth Rs 20 lakhs.
The raid followed a definite clue regarding the unauthorised stocking of sand in the area.
Sources said a few locals were involved in this illegal act. The seized sand has been entrusted to the Department of Mines and Geology.
