Bengaluru, 11 Jun 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: In swift action, the Attibele police traced and rescued four minor boys who had left their homes to visit a temple in Hosur and did not return home fearing their parents’ wrath, as it was too late.

The boys, all relatives and residents of Manchanahalli in Attibele, were found roaming in Hosur around 1.30 am on Sunday and were brought back to their village. The police said that Chandan (12), Nandan (12), Karthik (15) and Vikas (15), students of class six and nine, were playing on Saturday afternoon when Vikas planned a trip to the temple in Hosur.

Vikas, who did not want to go back home as he had received beatings from his father in the morning for misplacing his phone, convinced Chandan, Nandan, and Karthik that they go with him to the temple. Vikas took them to the temple located on a hillock and by the time they climbed down it was late.

The boys were scared that their parents would scold them for going home late and decided to stay back in Hosur. Meanwhile, the boys’ parents after searching for them in and around Manchanahalli approached the Attibele police and lodged a missing complaint, following which four police teams were formed to trace the boys.

A team was sent to Hosur which is about 10 km from Attibele and the team found the boys roaming on the streets and were brought back to the Attibele police station. Later, they were handed over to their parents.

As the boys went missing, panic gripped the village as they thought that the boys had been picked up by childlifters.
