Loss to govt exchequers: Sub registrar suspended

Karwar, 24 May 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: A sub registrar has been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty and causing loss of over Rs one crore to government exchequers.

Kishore Badkar, the said sub registrar had not remitted the amount collected towards various registration work into government accounts.

Though the issue came to light couple of days ago, the investigation officers were verifying various documents. The head office had kept close tabs on the movement of Badkar after noticing gap in remittence of the amount online.

Following his suspension, Hariyappa has been appointed as the new sub registrar.
