Bengaluru, 23 May 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Condemning the formation of JD(S)- Congress government , leaders of the state unit of BJP will stage protests as part of “Anti People’s Mandate Day” across the day to coincide with the swearing in ceremony of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and deputy chief minister Dr . G Parameshwar on Wednesday.
Sources in state unit of BJP said thousands of BJP workers would participate in protests and observe “Black Wednesday” by waving black flags throughout the day. In Bengaluru, state unit president and former CM B.S.Yeddyurappa will lead the demonstration in front of the state of Mahatma Gandhi. Other leaders including former DCM R Ashoka, former minister Aravinda Limbavali, N. Ravi Kumar, P.C. Mohan, MP, and others will participate in the protests.
Sources said the party’s central leadership has directed state leaders not to attend the swearing in ceremony of Mr. Kumaraswamy. “Since the mandate was against the Congress and JD(S), both parties have hijacked the mandate and formed unholy alliance. On the day of unholy coalition government takes oath on May 23, it will be considered as black day for democracy and mandate of the people” leaders said.
State unit general secretary C.T. Ravi came down heavily on Mr. Kumaraswamy for disrespecting voters, saying his party government would not wave crop loans of farmers borrowed from co-operative societies and public sector banks. Mr. Kumaraswamy also stated that he would strengthen the Lokayukta and send corrupt Congress leaders to jail, but to attain CM’s post, he has entered into an unholy alliance with Congress, Mr. Ravi criticized.

Meanwhile, Mr Yeddyurappa alleged that large scale irregularities during the previous government and just concluded Assembly elections, complained to the Election Commission of India for a probe into these allegations.
