Case registered against man for possessing two voter IDs

Mangaluru, 14 May 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: With every election comes cases of voter fraud. This time's State Assembly elections were no different. A case has been registered against a man in the Urwa police station for having two voter IDs in his name as he intended to vote twice at separate locations.

The complainant, Sunil Konchady accused Manoj Bangera for having used fake documents in order to obtain the second voter ID. One of his voter IDs has the serial number 1144, part 45 in Mangaluru south and the other bears the serial number 943, part 71 Mangaluru north.

It is yet to be ascertained however, if both the voter IDs were used by the accused to vote at both the concerned polling stations.
