I'm not anti-Muslim but their increased population is a threat: Ananthkumar

Karwar, 02 May 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ananthkumar Hegde who had hogged the limelight for his communally tinged comments, surprised everyone as he publicly declared for the first time that he was not anti-Muslim.

At a Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) event held at Karwar taluk in Uttara Kannada, he said, "Hindus do not accept the culture where survival is dependent on destroying another community. Our culture is to live together with everyone."

Later, Hegde trained his guns at Congress as usual. He alleged that Congress had insulted the Hindu Dharma in the past 70 years. "Only 4 to 5 percent of population in India was Muslim. Now it has reached 15 to 20 percent. Any nation which reaches a Muslim population of 30 percent, is completely converted into Islamic nation. History is witness to this", he claimed.

Alleging that Congress was a party that supports terrorists, he said, "Congress has made peace with terrorists and it is curtailing patriots. We face violence for living in our own nation. Congress is suppressing the individuals who work for the cause of religion. We never forgive such insult meted out to us."
