Degree admission starts, commerce stream in demand

Bengaluru, 02 May 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Soon after the second PU results, the admission process for the degrees courses has been started. Prestigious colleges distributed the application even on May Day, a government holiday and others started the distribution today.

According to the sources, this year commerce stream may have more demand. So, most of the colleges set 80% cut off for the commerce stream and 60% to science and arts streams. As the PU result increased by 7.18 %, few colleges have decided to increase the cut off marks by 2% for the admission.

Applications may be submitted till May 5. The colleges have decided to release the first list of students on May 6 and the final list may be released on May 7.

Meanwhile, to apply for the revaluation and recounting, students should get the scanned copies of the answer papers. On the first day itself, more than 6,000 students applied for the scanned copies of the answer sheets. The last date to apply for the scanned copies is May 7. Rs. 530 has been fixed for each subject.
