BJP plots to trigger Hindu-Muslim riots across the country: Raj Thackeray

In his speech, Raj Thackeray also hinted a BJP sponsored plot to trigger Hindu-Muslim riots across the country.

Thackeray said communal riots may take place in the near future and that the Ram temple issue will lead to it. “Ram temple matter is pending in the Supreme Court and there is a conspiracy cooking; few groups have been asked to create communal tension between Hindus and Muslims. Then this government will use this sympathy wave during election. Ram temple should get constructed but not for such reasons,” said Thackeray.

“Modi gave the slogan of ‘Congress-mukt Bharat’ but I would say this is a time to make ‘Modi-mukt Bharat’. All the opposition parties should come together for that. In 1947, we got our first independence, in 1977 second independence and a third independence is awaited in 2019 and that would be Modi-mukt Bharat,” Raj Thackeray said in his speech in Shivaj Park.

Thackeray targetted Modi over demonetisation and the Rafale deal, calling it the biggest scams of the country. During the speech, Thackeray said that the Rafale agreement was made with the French government for Rs 1,600 crore but the actual price was just Rs 550 crore.

“We are paying Rs 900 crore extra. Inexperienced Anil Ambani-led Reliance company has been made the partner of the French government. However, the government did not clarify the issue and prime minister did not even utter a word about it in Parliament,” he said. “If the government changes and inquiry would be initiated into demonetisation, it would emerge as the biggest scam since independence.”

Thackeray said, “Lately, the fourth pillar of democracy — media — is being restricted from speaking against the government, the judiciary has been pressured to give judgments in the favour of the government.”

Thackarey feels the media was used to divert attention from the Nirav Modi scam. He said Sridevi issue was deliberate and TV channels were asked to make headlines.
